Correct Seating Position
Sitting in the correct position assists the left hand, The chord will sound sweeter and the notes will resound.Make sure your leg is supporting the Guitar and your right arm is resting on top of the Guitar just near your elbow {Acoustic Guitar).
The Guitar is held in a vice like grip between the leg and arm which makes your left hand free to play.
Make sure the strumming hand plays above the sound hole. Using a foot stool sometimes will assist to raise the leg towards the Guitar or crossing legs also can help.Small children should sit on the floor when first starting out in order to assist control of the instrument. Adding a Capo
A capo can help change the key of the song, for instance if you start singing with your guitar and your vocals are too low. Place the capo on the 3rd fret, play the same chords.
The capo is like the nut on your guitar, if your vocals are still too low go to the 5th fret and place the capo there etc. Place the capo just behind the fret make sure nothing buzzes, re-adjust to have a great sound
